The Awards, Nominations and what is Missing.
Since after the release of the nomination list of what is becoming one of the most respected Gospel Music Awards in Nigeria, Crystal Awards some person have spoken up as regarding to the absence of certain notable names and works which were released within the specified window period. Some bloggers have also received calls from different quarters mostly artistes and gospel music enthusiasts asking why certain persons didn't make the nominations list.
The Organizing team is made up of highly respected industry stake holders who are very acquainted with whats happening in the gospel music industry, we believe that they must have an answer or a reason why such names didn't make it. notable of such names and works is Sinach and her hit song "I know who I am". The absence of this very popular song brought some concerns and got us thinking if there are any reasons why she was not nominated.
Some other names and works which were missing also includes "Ada Ehi and her double album released late year "So Fly and Lifted", Dsmart's fantastic Video "Izurukeme" Featuring Kore and Samsong and others.
Some other quarters believe that the Portharcourt, Abuja and other non-Lagos gospel music community were not properly represented in the nomination list. We would Like the Award organisers to address this.
